Conversation guide

These 41 spicy questions are for couples who want to talk about attraction and affection. They stay suggestive, not explicit: the boldest ask about a kind of touch, a kiss or a fantasy date. Start with memories and compliments, and either of you can skip any question.

When to ask

Pick a time when you’re both rested and have privacy, such as a quiet night at home or a long phone call if you live apart. An anniversary dinner can work too. Avoid these questions during an argument, when one of you is stressed, or anywhere you could be overheard.

How to keep it respectful

  • Start soft. The first group is about memories and compliments. Move on to touch only if you’re both enjoying it.
  • Check in. Ask “Is this question okay?” and accept the answer.
  • Don’t push. If your partner skips a question or gives a short answer, move on.
  • Share if you want to. Answering yourself is optional and doesn’t oblige the other person.

An answer about a kind of touch, a kiss or a fantasy is not consent to do it. Ask separately in the moment, and accept that a preference can change.

For softer questions, try romantic questions. For playful questions early in dating, use flirty questions.

Helpful follow-ups

  • What do you remember most about that?
  • Is that something you'd like more of?
  • How would you like me to bring it up next time?
  • Is this still a good time to keep going?
