Conversation guide

These 68 juicy questions start with guilty pleasures and confessions and get bolder as you go. Questions 33 to 58 are about crushes, exes and dating, and are for adults only. Choose the group that fits the room before you start.

How to use them

Pick a few that suit the mood. Don’t rapid-fire through the list. Leave room for the story behind an answer and for other people to react.

  • Share your own answer first if you want to set the tone.
  • Anyone can pass, and nobody has to explain why.
  • What’s said in the room stays in the room.
  • Your answer creates no obligation for anyone else to answer.

Read the room

Not every group is ready for every question. A table with a partner, an ex or a parent present changes what is fun to answer. The dating group can be uncomfortable in mixed company even among adults, so check before you go there.

The last group, “Honest answers,” is quieter: regrets, fears, the last time you cried. Save it for one or two people you trust, not a party.
